All shots were taken with a 6:00 hold using a Fine Sight. The shooting position was sitting unsupported. The range was 100 yards.

The target used here is a one-third-scale copy of the Third Class Target used in the annual rifle qualification as depicted in the 1870 Musketry Instruction.
